KINGSFORD — Director of Athletics for Breitung Township Schools Chris Hartman announced on Thursday the winter sports practice schedules and practice locations. Winter sports are getting a late start due to coronavirus restrictions set forth by the governor.

The starting dates are:

Girls basketball, grades 9-12, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in both gymnasiums.

Freshmen boys basketball, Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Gold Gym.

Varsity boys basketball, Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Blue Gym.

JV boys basketball, Monday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Hockey, grades 9-12, Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Ice Arena.

Cheerleading, grades 9-12, Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Woodland Elementary Gym.

Swimming boys and girls, grades 9-12, Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the YMCA pool

Wrestling, grades 9-12, Saturday at 8 a.m. at the KHS Wrestling room.

Students must have an up-to-date physical card on file with the high school office. Students are also asked to bring their own water bottle and suitable face covering.
