Tech icers drop NMU 4-1

MARQUETTE — The No. 18-ranked Michigan Tech hockey team earned a nonconference sweep of Northern Michigan Monday with a 4-1 come from behind victory. The Huskies have now won seven straight overall, six straight against the Wildcats, and six straight at the Berry Events Center.

Arvid Caderoth, Tyler Rockwell and Alec Broetzman all scored for the Huskies. Tyrell Buckley added an empty-netter.

NMU’s lone goal came from Andre Ghantous, making the game 1-0 Wildcats just 3:53 into the contest.

Blake Pietila has 32 saves for Michigan Tech, earning his sixth victory.

The Huskies (8-3-1) play at No. 8 Bowling Green this weekend.
