Norway girls beat Rapid River, 53-37
RAPID RIVER – Mackenzie Clifford netted 15 points, and Andi Carlson chipped in 10, as Norway cruised past Rapid River 53-37 in Skyline Central Conference girls basketball Friday.
“We got off to a slow start until we started to put some pressure on them and started forcing turnovers,” said Norway head coach Joe Tinti. “We made a nice run going into halftime and played some excellent defense in the second quarter.”
Natalie Belanger led Rapid River with 15 points.
Norway, who improves to 5-3 (5-2 SCC) return home to host Bark River-Harris on Monday, before traveling to North Central on Friday for a varsity only matchup at 6 p.m.
Norway also won the jayvee game, led by Jada Freudinger with 19 points.
