Parolini powers Knights past North Dickinson
NORWAY — Behind a game-high 16 points from senior Logan Parolini, Norway cruised past North Dickinson 46-19 in a Skyline Central Conference boys basketball game Thursday night.
“Our energy was very good. I thought our team defense was on point heading into district play. It was a good win on senior night,” said Norway head coach Jeff Gallino. “It’s a new season and we are preparing for the Maroons.”
Norway, who completed its regular season, finished with an 8-6 (8-4 SCC) record. They will host an MHSAA Division 3 district game, taking on Division 3 newcomer Menominee on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
“Norway played with more passion,” said North Dickinson coach Chris Mattson. “Their defense was stifling in the first half. We couldn’t get anything going.”
The Nordics, who fell to 2-11 (2-10 SCC), return home to host SCC foe Forest Park tonight at the Carl F. Lemin Jr. Gymnasium.
Norway also won the JV game.
