NIAGARA, Wis. -- In their final home game of the season, Niagara's baseball team ended on a positive note as they defeated non-conference foe Laona-Wabeno 9-5 here Friday evening.

"The kids area starting to hit the ball, things are turning around for the team at the right time," said Badgers head coach Dean Neveau.

"The coaches and I feel that the kids are buying in at the right time, heading into the postseason," Neveau added.

Mason Richtig went the distance on the mound for Niagara.

"Dawson Lincoln, is our team leader and is playing great baseball. He had his senior night tonight and I am happy with how the younger players look up to him," Neveau stated.
