Norway captures Skyline golf

GAASTRA — Norway won the boys championship at the Skyline Central Conference golf match at Young’s Golf Course.
Bryson Mercier of North Central was the medalist with a 73, followed by three Norway golfers at 77 — Evan Anderson, Jeff VanHolla and Drew Anderson. Norway’s Carson Chartier shot a 78.
Norway, with a boys team score of 309, was followed by Stephenson, 394, and Munising, 396.
The girls medalist was Sarah Snyder of North Central with a score of 107, followed by Shea Linder of Carney-Nadeau at 110 and Hannah Larson of Bark River-Harris at 112.
Munising won the girls meet with a team score of 481, followed by Big Bay de Noc, 492, and Mid Peninsula, 504.
