Niagara’s Cretton wins high jump at sectional meet
ROSHOLT, Wis. — At least two Northwoods Storm athletes have qualified for the WIAA state track meet following Thursday’s Division 3 sectional at Rosholt High School.
Niagara senior Alyssa Cretton won the high jump at 5 feet, 2 inches, which is an inch below the school record she set earlier this year.
Florence’s Audrey Selden, a junior, broke her own school record in the 100 meter hurdles, finishing second in a time of 15.48 seconds. That showing bettered her mark of 15.59 seconds set at the state meet in 2019.
Several other competitors from the Niagara-Florence track and field co-op were competing later in the meet with full results unavailable by press time. Photos will be published in Saturday’s edition of The Daily News.
