Greens, Niagara Legion teams play at Felch Memorial Field

ESCANABA — Tony Kralovec fanned 10 batters and didn’t allow a hit in five innings of work, as the Dickinson County Greens cruised past Escanaba 7-0 in American Legion baseball at Al Ness Field in Escanaba on Friday.
Gannon Bray pitched the final two innings for the Greens, fanning a pair while allowing two hits and no walks.
Evan Haferkorn had a team-high two hits for DC, while driving in a run.
Hunter McCarthy and Luke Decker also each had an RBI for the Greens, while Blake Julian cracked a triple.
On Saturday morning at Felch Memorial Field, the Greens defeated Niagara’s junior Legion team, 9-5. Julian blasted a fourth inning grand slam for Dickinson County.
Copper Country defeated Niagara 10-3 in the early afternoon game. Copper Country earned a forfeit win over the Greens in the late afternoon contest at Felch.
The Greens are scheduled to return to action today in a doubleheader at Menominee.
