Oak Crest golfers collect honors at Pepper Steele Big Hole Scramble
NORWAY — The Pepper Steele Big Hole Scramble was held at Oak Crest Golf Club in Norway last weekend. Carding a combined two-day score of 28-under, 166, were Garrett O’Neil and Bryce Kelly to win the championship flight.
The winning duo shot a tournament-low 56 on Saturday.
Low round on Sunday was a 59, shot by Austin Bloomquist and Luke Wahoviak, who finished runnerup in the championship flight. Second flight winners Jake Zeugner and Alex Manier also carded a 59 on Sunday.
Bloomquist and Wahoviak tied with Noah Kiser and Mike Peters as runnerup in the championship flight. Fourth place went to Dante Mendina and Mark McCarthy at 20-under, with fifth place going to Nate Harvey and Andrew Hartwig at 19-under
First flight winners were Pat Flood and Matt Moln at 18-under. In the second flight, Manier-Zeugner finished 19-under.
Third flight honors at 10-under were shared between Kevin Londo-Scott Linder and Bryan Mongrain-Rick Nelson.
The team of John Gardner-Laird Trepp won the fourth flight while the fifth flight was won by Wes Stewart and Tony Campbell.
