ESCANABA -- Norway senior Kali Stanchina extended her undefeated streak at No. 1 singles to six as Norway played a shortened non-conference girls tennis match, falling to host Escanaba 3-1 here Thursday afternoon.
"We played well against Escanaba, as the girls continue to improve," said Norway girls tennis coach Cassandra Gustafson. "We have two girls out sick right now, but I am hoping we will have them back soon and the rest of the team stays healthy. Kali Stanchina continues to dominate."
Norway will return to action on Wednesday when they host non-conference foe Gwinn, before hosting West Iron on Sept. 20, also a non-conference matchup, both at Marion Park.
