NORWAY — Kristie and Jim Markell took championship flight honors in the Husband & Wife Tournament at Oak Crest Golf Club in Norway.

The Markells shot a 68 and a 69 in the two-round tournament for 7-under par, edging Diana and Mike Peters by a single stroke. Placing third at 5-under were Kathy and Larry Gagnon, followed by Janine and Tom Ward, 4-under.

Tammy and Scott DeBakker tied for fifth place with Lori and Bob Linder at 3-under. Michelle and Mike Mansfield placed seventh at 1-under; and Faith and David Peterson finished eighth at 2-over.

In the 1st Flight, Amy and Gary Johnson, at 1-under, edged Deb and Mark Young, who finished at even par.

In all, 52 teams competed.

Other flight winners included:

— 2nd, Sue and Dan Luthardt, 7-over.

— 3rd, Wink and Dave Anderson, 11-over.

— 4th, Lynn and Scott Eldredge, 19-over.
