Badgers rally past Suring for 3-1 win
NIAGARA, Wis. — It took four sets for the host Lady Badgers, but they got the job done as Niagara defeated Marinette-Oconto Conference foe Suring, 3-1 (25-12, 25-18, 20-25, 25-15) Tuesday night.
“Tonight’s match was a big win for us as we had a rematch against Suring. We started the night with my girls playing aggressive both defensively as well as offensively. As the match progressed, we had moments where the girls were indecisive which resulted in us going to set number four,” said veteran Niagara head coach Carol St. Arnauld.
“Suring has a strong, experienced team, and I’m proud of how my team recovered and finished the match. My girls have an opportunity to leave their stamp on this season, so it is important that they continue to play up to their potential and believe in their abilities,” St. Arnauld added.
The Badgers will return to action on Thursday as they travel to Crivitz for a M&O Conference matchup, before returning home to entertain Lena in another M&O matchup.
