Knights open with 44-31 win
STEPHENSON – Andi Carlson scored 13 of her game-high 23 points in the second half as Norway broke a halftime tie to defeat Stephenson 44-31 on Thursday at Stephenson High School.
Carlson’s offensive output, along with seven third-quarter points from Jada Freudinger, helped the Knights outscore the Eagles 27-14 in the second half.
“Andi Carlson had a monster second half for us and was clutch from the free-throw line,” Norway coach Joe Tinti said.
Tinti added his team was able to overcome cold shooting by controlling the tempo of the game.
“We did get out of control at times in the first half but were able to settle a bit in the second.”
