Girls hoops: Flivvers rebound, top Knights

KINGSFORD -- The Kingsford girls varsity basketball team rebounded from a loss to West Iron on Tuesday night with a 60-33 victory over visiting Norway.

With the victory, the Flivvers improved to 6-7. Meanwhile, Norway (6-8) fell for the third straight time.

"We came out with some hot shooting," Kingsford coach Jon Lorenzoni said. "I tell them every game … they're good shooters. It's just a confidence thing.

"We did a nice job tonight," he added. "Everyone contributed good minutes."

Lady Badgers pull away in second half 51-34

NIAGARA -- Leading by five after the first half, the Niagara girls basketball team outscored visiting Crivitz 26-14 in the second half to record a 51-34 triumph in a M&O Conference clash on Tuesday in Niagara.

The Lady Badgers (12-7) splashed six 3-pointers in the game, led by Josie Rock's three. Rock led all scorers in the game with 13 points, followed by Abigail Wells and Morgan Borchardt with 10 each.
