QUINNESEC -- The Kingsford boys varsity baseball team might have too much of a courteous host Tuesday against visiting Escanaba, letting the Eskymos leave Quinnesec Field with a 10-5 victory over the Flivvers.

Kingsford actually drew first blood and did so early, with Dennis Neuens scoring in the first inning for a 1-0 lead.

But Escanaba dominated from there, knotting up the score at 1-1 in the second and then putting up 6 runs in the fourth to run away with the victory.

Kingsford starter Gavin Trevillian took the loss, giving up 7 runs on 5 hits in 4 innings of work. Trevillian also fanned 5 while issuing 4 walks.

Sawyer Pugh pitched the final three innings for Kingsford, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 1.

At the plate, Henry McRoberts (2-3, R, RBI) led Kingsford's six-hit performance against Escanaba.

Garrett Brown and Nathan Bousley were both 1-3 and scored a run for Kingsford.
