MARQUETTE — Kingsford No. 1 doubles duo Isaac Nash and Ben Trevillian were recently given honorable mention on the 2022 Division 1 all-U.P. boys tennis team.

Nash and Trevillian scored a 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 victory over the Menominee duo in the first round at the Division 1 U.P. Finals on June 1 to help earn their spots.

Marquette senior Nick Olivier was named player of the year after his dominating performance in the Division 1 U.P. Finals. Olivier also was selected to the all-state team for his efforts this season.

Escanaba’s No. 1 doubles team Isaac Maki and Dawson Williams were also named to the all-state team after capturing the Division 1 U.P. championship.

Members of the all-U.P. first team included singles players Luke Syrjala and Gavin Saunders of Negaunee and Gunnar Dlugas and Nathan Howes of Escanaba, In doubles, first-teamers included Maki-Williams, Jace Turri-James Thornton of Negaunee and Joe Hubert-Josep Montal of Escanaba.

Honorable mention was also given to Tyler Lajimodiere, Gavin Downey and Bryce Storms of Negaunee and Brock Murphy of Menominee.
