KINGSFORD — The 2022 Great Northern Conference baseball awards have been announced, with six Kingsford Flivvers being honored.

Junior infielder Henry McRoberts and freshman outfielder Andres Finley were recognized for their outstanding seasons with inclusion on the league’s first team. Kingsford senior pitcher Sawyer Pugh, senior outfielder Dennis Neuens and freshmen infielders Garrett Brown and Gavin Trevillian were selected to the second team.

“We were very fortunate to land several Flivvers on all-conference teams,” coach Matt LaLonde said. “It definitely shows the future of the program to be bright as many of them are freshmen and juniors.”

Gladstone was named the team of the year with Braves’ coach Joe Darmogray picked as coach of the year. Escanaba’s Hunter Lancour was selected as pitcher of the year after posting a 4-1 record with a 0.98 ERA and 38 strikeouts.
