IRON RIVER — West Iron County placed two golfers in the top 10 and all four in the top 20 in its second-place finish at the U.P. Division 2 Golf Championship on Wednesday at Young’s Golf Course.

Kya Dallavalle finished tied for fifth with a 107 and Madison Berutti placed eighth with a 111 to lead the Wykons to a 469 score, 15 strokes behind team champion Munising.

Other teams in the field included Bark River-Harris (third at 471), Pickford (fourth at 475) and Manistique (fifth at 480), while Brimley and Stephenson tied for sixth with 529.

Manistique’s Macy Green took home medalist honors with a 102, one shot in front of Hannah Larson of Bark River-Harris and teammate Nora Cunningham.

West Iron’s Harlie Melstrom shot a 125 to place 18th and Aubrey Bice carded a 126 to finish tied for 19th.

Forest Park did not field enough golfers to participate in the team competition. Freshman Beth Nocerini led the Lady Trojans with a 112, good for ninth overall.
