Like many other high school teams across Michigan, the Norway Knights varsity and JV teams football teams got to work in preparing for the upcoming 2022 season during the first officially permitted practice Monday.

Head coach Scott Popp said numbers were up for the first team practice, with 35 potential players participating. Those will later be divided into the varsity and JV squads.

After finishing 5-4 last year in Norway’s first season playing eight-man football, Popp said he has high expectations for 2022. “The kids are pumped to finally being able to strap up the helmets and play some football,” he added of being able to get back to playing fall sports.

Starting at $3.50/week.
