Knights stay undefeated!
NORWAY — In its last home game of the 2022 season, the Norway varsity 8-player football team throttled visiting Ontonagon (3-3) on Thursday night at Norway High School.
The 50-8 victory added to the festivities, with the Knights celebrating “Parents Night” prior to the opening kickoff. Norway (6-0) remains one of two undefeated teams in the Great Lakes Eight Conference-West. The other team is the defending state champion North Central Jets (5-0), who were scheduled to face host Stephenson tonight (Friday, Sept. 30).
Norway isn’t set to play again until the Knights travel to take on powerhouse North Central on Friday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m. on the Jets’ home field in Powers.
The Jets, who have captured back-to-back state titles, won their 28th consecutive game last week, setting a new state record for 8-player football, according to the MHSAA.
