COLEMAN, Wis. -- Niagara coach Carol St. Arnauld said her team was flat in its dual match with Coleman on Tuesday. Nevertheless, the Badgers defeated the host Cougars 25-20, 23-25, 25-22, 25-14 in the M&O Conference clash.
St. Arnauld pointed to one area in particular that didn't measure up to standards.
"Our serve receive was less than impressive," St. Arnauld said. "We have had a lot of volleyball in the last week and weekend, and my girls showed some fatigue. Although we didn't play up to potential, my girls still pushed through and took complete control in the last set.
"Coleman hustled and played us well," she added. "At the end of the day, a win is a win. Looking forward to finishing out the week with Crivitz at home (tonight) and having a long weekend to rest up."
Morgan Borchardt led Niagara with 13 kills, nine assists and two blocks. Erin Lukowicz produced six kills, nine digs and three aces, while Emma Brasure recorded four assists, Raegan Frappier fired three aces and Mallory Sanicki registered four blocks.
Defensively, Abby Wells led the Lady Badgers with 17 digs.
