FLORENCE, Wis. -- The Florence Ladycats celebrated both Homecoming and Parents Night on Tuesday by rolling over Elcho 3-0 (25-9, 25-12, 25-2) at Florence High School.
"We had a full gym, which was really fun for the girls," Florence coach Teresa Chrisman said. "It was a nice way to get the fans going for the upcoming weeks."
The Ladycats were right on with their serving, missing just two serves in the match. Tyley Fyvie led Florence with six aces and Madison Johnson added five.
On the attack, Morgan Tomczak paced Florence with eight kills, while Kamdan Johnson chipped in with six and Bella Millan had five.
"It was nice to see Bella Millan start attacking again," Chrisman said. "Once again our blocking has improved with Bella and Vicky Peterson getting more touches."
Madison Johnson directed the Florence offense with 26 assists.
Afterward, Chrisman looked forward.
"We have a huge conference match in Three Lakes on Tuesday," she said. "We need that win to stay in the hunt for the conference. I hope the fan base we had on Tuesday can make the trip to Three Lakes on Tuesday."
