MARQUETTE — By virtue of their top 15 finishes in the MHSAA 2022 U.P. Cross County Finals, Norway freshman Lauren Adams and North Central sophomore Hope Varoni were honored by the U.P. Cross Country Coaches Association.

Adams was the area’s top finisher, taking sixth place in the D3 U.P. finals to make the all-state team, while Varoni finished 12th at the U.P. meet in Division 2 to gain her spot on the all-state team.

North Central’s Weston Knauf and Jesse Sampson, who placed 16th and 17th, respectively in the U.P. Finals, were awarded all-U.P. honors in Division 2.
