Niagara’s Borchardt named MVP

NIAGARA, Wis. — Niagara senior Morgan Borchardt was dominant on the volleyball court this season and was recognized for her play by being named the 2022 M&O Conference most valuable player by a vote of league coaches.

Three more Lady Badgers were honored by the league as well. Senior defensive specialist Abby Wells was picked to the first team, sophomore Mallory Sanicki was selected to the second team and senior Erin Lukowicz was given honorable mention.

The rest of the M&O first team included Crivitz senior Kylie Chilcote, Crivitz senior Hailee Gyger, Coleman senior Katie Knox, Lena senior Natalie McNurlen and Suring senior Christine Sleeter.

Joining Sanicki on the second team were Lena senior Peyton Dorow, Coleman senior Madelyn Hinther, Gillett senior Halle Fisher, Wausaukee senior Rachel Schlies and Suring junior Bailey Stuart.

Additional players given honorable mention were Coleman senior Aubrey Bintz, Suring senior McKenzie Chesterfield, Gillett junior Hailey Elsner, Coleman senior Sylvia Fochesato, Oneida Nation senior Abby House, Suring senior Macie Reed, Wausaukee junior Melody Schaal and Crivitz junior Lilli Watson.
