IRON MOUNTAIN — After a change in leadership, the U.P. Football All-Star Game has announced the date and time of its 17th installment as well as the rosters for both teams.

In January, it was announced that the game will be at 1 p.m. June 22 in the Superior Dome at Northern Michigan University in Marquette.

The U.P. Football All-Star Game held a draft Saturday to split players up into Team Red and Team Black.

Team Red is coached by Menominee’s Chad Brandt while Travis Wiltzious of Gladstone is heading Team Black.

This year, instead of every player being available for selection, Menominee players will be on Team Red. Gladstone’s players will join Coach Wiltzious on Team Black.

Kingsford senior running back Elizin Rouse was the first overall selection in the draft, going to Team Black.

Team Red selected Negaunee running back Kai Lacar second overall and grabbed Flivvers defensive end Noah Johnson with the third pick.

Iron Mountain wide receiver Matthew Colavecchi was picked fifth overall by Team Red with Kingsford offensive lineman Garrett Veale joining him as the 10th pick.

The rest of the Top-20 picks included Kingsford defensive lineman Grayson Palmer at 16 (Team Red) and Norway defensive back Ian Popp going to Team Black at pick 17.

North Central quarterback Jacob Gorzinski rounds out the local athletes on Team Black.

Norway wide receiver Alex Ortman will play on Team Red alongside teammates Hayden Amundson (linebacker) and Wyatt Spade (wide receiver).

Michael Floriano (wide receiver) of Kingsford is also on Team Red.

The entire list of rosters can be found on the U.P. Football All-Star Game’s Facebook page.
