Florence’s Leffler, Lambert sign national letters of intent

FLORENCE, Wis. — Florence high school senior Bryce Leffler and Leighton Lambert signed their National Letter of Intent on Friday in Florence, Wis.
Leffler will be joining the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire football team while Lambert is headed to the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point for softball.
After helping lead the Bobcats to a WIAA 8-player state championship in football, Leffler was named as both the Northern Border Conference’s Offensive and Defensive Lineman of the Year.
He also received All-Region recognition as both an offensive and defensive lineman and was named to the WFCA All-State team as an offensive lineman.
Leffler’s blocking as a guard/tight end and occasional lead blocker out of the backfield led a dominating ground attack for the Bobcats that ran for a record 2,962 yards on the season.
Leffler recorded 16 sacks during his senior season and holds the career school sacks record at 38.5.
