IRON MOUNTAIN — After rolling to its first 9-0 season in more than 20 years, the Kingsford varsity football team picked up multiple West PAC Copper Division All-Conference awards this week.

Kingsford senior Gavin Grondin was named Offensive Player of the Year.

Fellow Flivvers senior Mason Tappy took home Defensive Player of the Year honors.

The Flivvers were West PAC Copper Division champions and as a result, head coach Mark Novara was named conference Coach of the Year.

Tappy was also a unanimous selection on the first team as a guard. Grondin (wide receiver), Trenton VanOss (fullback, unanimous selection), Nic Novara (quarterback) joined Tappy on the first team offense.

Thomas Maynard led the way for the Flivvers on the first-team defense. Caleb Kleist (inside linebacker, unanimous selection), Jack Kriegl (defensive back, unanimous selection) and Sid Olson (kicker) joined Maynard on the first-team defense.

Kingsford’s Logan DeClark (guard), Andres Finley (tackle) and Kriegl (wide receiver) were selected to the West PAC Cooper second-team offense.

The Flivvers’ Blake Flaminio (defensive line), Finley (defensive end), VanOss (inside linebacker) and Gavin Trevillian (defensive back) were selected to the West PAC Copper second-team defense.

Kingsford’s Brettin Rouse (tight end) and Sid Olson (defensive back) were named to the honorable mention squad.
