Knights dominate All-SCC baseball

NORWAY — Skyline Central Conference coaches picked their all-league teams recently and the conference champion Norway Knights dominated the selections.

Norway seniors Landon Amundson and Cole Baij were named co-players of the year and junior Owen Baij was picked as the offensive player of the year.

North Dickinson junior Spencer Kramer was selected defensive player of the year and the sportsmanship award was given to Bark River-Harris senior Lucas Hall.

The SCC first team included: senior Bryce Adams and junior Cameron Varda of Norway; junior Brady Jungwirth and sophomore Trent Kramer of North Dickinson; sophomore Kaden Malone of North Central; Hall, sophomore Dane Schmitt and senior Dom Lantagne of Bark River-Harris; and junior Chase Monette of Stephenson.

The SCC second team included: sophomore Landon Ross of Norway; sophomore Jason Graham of North Dickinson; sophomore Nate Pipkorn, senior Aidyn Burton and senior Sam Salo of North Central; senior Jacob Mileski and sophomore Andrew Johnson of Bark River-Harris; and sophomores Jaykob Dahm and Isaac Rondeau of Superior Central.

Special mention was given to senior Austin Farley of North Central, junior Lucas Havelka of Superior Central and sophomore Ryder Kroupa of Superior Central

Honorable mention was given to junior Brooks Castle of North Central, sophomore Nate Kline of Stephenson and sophomore Brandon Boyak of Superior Central.

Norway went 10-0 to capture the conference crown. Bark River-Harris finished second at 8-2, North Dickinson placed third at 5-5, North Central wound up fourth at 3-7 and Stephenson and Superior Central finished tied for fifth with 2-8 records.
