Gladstone fell to eventual state champion Hudsonville in the semifinals Monday of the Little League Majors (ages 10-12) softball tournament hosted by Schoolcraft.

Hudsonville defeated Gladstone 13-3 before taking the state title with a 5-2 win over Grosse Pointe. Gladstone had advanced with a 15-0 win over Edwardsburg in the quarterfinals.

In pool play, Gladstone went 3-0, defeating Tecumseh 19-0; Constantine 14-1; and Marquette 7-1. Marquette went 0-3 in pool play, also falling to Taylor North 4-2 and Clare 8-3.

Gladstone reached the state tournament by capturing the District 10 championship hosted by Iron Mountain, defeating Escanaba 5-4 for the title.
