QUINNESEC — The Michigan District 10 Little League baseball tournament for ages 8-10 begins Saturday at Quinnesec Park with three games scheduled.

Iron Mountain will face Norway at 10 a.m., followed by Tri County (Trenary) vs. Gladstone at noon and Iron County vs. Kingsford at 2 p.m.

Escanaba has a bye and will face the winner of Iron Mountain vs. Norway at 11 a.m. Sunday. Another winner’s bracket game is set for 1 p.m. Sunday, and a loser’s bracket elimination game will follow.

The double-elimination seven-team tournament continues each day leading to a championship game at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. If the team from the loser’s bracket wins that contest, a final championship tilt is set for 5:30 p.m. Friday.

The schedule is subject to change, depending on weather.

The winner will advance to the state tournament in Tecumseh.
