MARQUETTE — The Marquette Reds captured the Michigan Vetarans Baseball title on Sunday with a pair of wins over the Black Sox of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

The 15u tournament was moved to Marquette’s Haley Field after heavy rains hit the tournament site in Felch.

The Reds from Post 44 advanced through the loser’s bracket and defeated the Black Sox 3-2 to force a second game, which they won 4-3.

Marquette fell to Norway 7-6 on Friday, but came back to defeat Norway 10-2 on Saturday.
