Vulcan Nickels Logging finished with a regular season record of 12-1 and won three straight tournament games to capture the Starter baseball (ages 7-8) Little League title in the area’s 14-team circuit.

The Vulcan squad defeated Kingsford Bacco Construction 9-4 to claim the championship Thursday in Gaastra.

Bacco reached the title game with a 7-1 win over Kingsford Stanek Chiropractic while Nickels got by Norway Cayemburg Construction 6-2 in the other semifinal.
