Strong showings for South Central, Kingsford at Felch

FELCH — The South Central American Legion baseball team compiled a 3-0 record in a weekend of round-robin games at Felch Memorial Field.
Also participating were Copper Country (3-1), Kingsford (2-1), Niagara, Wis., (1-3) and Crandon, Wis., (0-4).
The event was hosted by Felch Volunteer Fire Department, who thanked “all fans and teams for a wonderful weekend of baseball at beautiful Felch Field.”
Standout players included Brady Jungwirth, Owen Baij and Cole Baij for South Central; Jack Kriegl, Cameron Varda and Andres Finley for Kingsford; and Mason Richtig and Blake Holmes for Niagara.
