Felch to host 54th annual Labor Day tournament

Hortonville, Wis., is the defending champion at the 54th annual Felch Labor Day Championship baseball tourney, which will be played Friday, Aug. 29, through Monday, Sept. 1, at Felch Memorial Field.

The opener at 5 p.m. Aug. 29 will see the Channing Railroaders take on Bonduel, Wis.

Games are slated throughout the weekend, beginning at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Semifinals will be played at 10 a.m. and noon on Monday, Labor Day, with the championship at 2 p.m.

“Bring your family and friends for a great weekend of baseball at beautiful Felch Memorial Field,” said tournament coordinator John Benzie. “Concessions will be available throughout the tournament.”

Before the finals, the tournament committee will induct Bob Davidson and Jim Edberg into the Felch Hall of Fame.

Fan of the Year will be Ray Timmer.
