Flivvers, IM tune up for soccer districts

Kingsford will host Iron Mountain at 5 p.m. today in boys soccer action.
The Flivvers, 10-5 overall, are coming off a 5-0 win over the Mountaineers on Thursday.
Marquette spoiled the debut of the new turf at Flivver Field on Wednesday, winning 4-1.
The Flivvers are scheduled to host Houghton on Tuesday and Three Lakes, Wis., on Thursday.
Kingsford and Iron Mountain will be in District 33 of the MHSAA Division 3 soccer playoffs. Other teams in the district are Boyne City, Cheboygan, Elk Rapids, Grayling, Houghton and Kalkaska.

District play is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Oct. 8.
