Nordics’ offense keeps up the pace

North Dickinson moves to 5-0

The North Dickinson offense has been splendid through the first five games of the 2025 campaign. The Nordics are averaging 54.8 points per game and have now scored 60 two weeks in a row, after Friday night’s 64-38 thumping of host Rapid River in a Great Lakes Eight Central Conference matchup.

Brady Jungwirth threw four touchdown passes and ran for another to lead the UPSSA Division 4 fourth-ranked Nordics to their fifth consecutive victory to start the season.

Jungwirth connected with Trent Kramer on a 3-yard TD pass and then ran in for the 2-point conversion to open the scoring for the Nordics. Jungwirth hit Ty King for a 10-yarder and then found Tyler Fleming for the 2-point conversion pass.

Fleming then took off on a 46-yard scamper and Jason Graham ran in the 2-point conversion as North Dickinson carried a 24-16 advantage into the second quarter.

The Nordics expanded their lead to 34-16 at halftime and then put the Rockets (2-3) away in the third with 22-6 quarter to increase their edge to 58-22 heading into the fourth quarter.

Graham rushed for a 2-yard TD in the second quarter before Fleming recorded a 1-yarder.

In the decisive third quarter, Jungwirth found Kramer for a 42-yard strike and then burst free for a 38-yard score. He followed with a 3-yard TD pass to Fleming.

Jungwirth also threw 2-point conversions to Kramer and Grahan.

Colton Roberts closed the ND scoring with a 12-yard run in the fourth.

Jungwirth connected on 9 of 12 throws for 202 yards, while Graham paced the Nordics on the ground with 128 yards rushing on 14 carries and Fleming rushed five times for 95 yards.

Kramer topped ND in receptions with five for 114 yards.

Defensively, Kramer recorded 12 tackles, Xavier Riemer added 10 tackles, Graham also posted 10 tackles along with an interception and King finished with nine tackles and a sack.

Fleming recorded an interception as well.

The Nordics go for six straight victories when they host Superior Central (2-3) this Friday.
