Norway tops Carney-Nadeau in 5 sets
Playing on the road, Norway got past Carney-Nadeau in five sets in a volleyball match Tuesday.
“Carney did an excellent job of picking up our hits,” said Norway coach Meghan Rossato. “(Coach) Steve (Kedsch) has done a great job with this group of girls.”
Norway prevailed 25-18, 22-25, 25-12, 23-25, 15-4.
“I’m thankful the girls got it together when they did and brought home a win, but our defense was just off,” Rossato said. “We hesitated.”
Kendall Burklund, Aili Freiberg and Payton Paquette delivered a solid night of serving for the Knights, posting a total of 20 aces.
“Allie Grable did an excellent job coming off the bench with confidence and energy, she made me really proud tonight,” Rossato said.
Freiberg, a sophomore, notched an impressive 36 assists and is averaging more than 20 assists per game.
