Powerlifting national record
A Dickinson County man competing in the National Powerlifting League set a national record Sept. 13 at Meta 365 Fitness in Menominee. Tyler Campbell, 32, accomplished a deadlift — drug tested — of 451.9 pounds in the 148-pound men’s open. The previous national record for that weight class was 440.9 pounds. Campbell will compete again in February, aiming for a possible world record for NPL.
