Tappy named NACC Lineman of the Year

LUCAS TAPPY

De PERE, Wis. — St. Norbert College senior Lucas Tappy was named Offensive Lineman of the Year in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.

Tappy, a former Kingsford High School standout, was one of four team captains for the 2025 football campaign. St. Norbert finished 5-5 overall and 5-3 in the NACC.

Tappy was named to the All-Conference first team for a third straight season and played in all 10 games.

Fellow Kingsford graduate Michael Meneguzzo also served as a team captain, playing in all 10 games at quarterback. Meneguzzo threw for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns. He completed 139 of 220 attempts for a 63% completion rate with five interceptions.

The Green Knights’ offense averaged 29.9 points and 288.5 yards per game — 160.8 through the air and 127.7 on the ground.

Tappy anchored a front that allowed just 12 sacks, good for second among NACC programs.

St. Norbert finished tied for third in the conference with Benedictine and Wisconsin Lutheran. Concordia Wisconsin won the conference with an 8-0 record, followed by Aurora, 6-2.

The St. Norbert roster also included senior offensive lineman Lane Nehring of Hermansville and three Kingsford freshmen — quarterback Nic Novara, offensive lineman Wyatt Shippy and linebacker Brettin Rouse.

Starting at $3.50/week.
