Cleveland State to open Horizon season
Cleveland State men’s basketball opens its Horizon League season Wednesday at Northern Kentucky. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. Eastern time and the game will be shown on ESPN+.
On Friday, the Vikings (3-6) fell to Missouri (8-0) of the Southeastern Conference, 86-59, at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri.
“After the first nine minutes, I thought our guys really settled in and competed with toughness,” head coach Rob Summers said. “Missouri is a talented team, and they made us pay early, but I’m proud of how we responded and continued to battle for the remainder of the game.”
Senior guard Foster Wonders of Iron Mountain had nine points against Missouri. Wonders is averaging 6.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.
