Iron Mountain opened its high school bowling season with a pair of wins Saturday against Escanaba.

Bowling in Marquette, the girls prevailed 37-3 while the boys won 27-13.

The Mountaineers will next face Gladstone this Saturday in matches hosted by L’Anse and Calumet.

Iron Mountain’s girls roster includes seniors Joleigh Osieczonek, Alizabeth Richtig and Chloe Roell; juniors Laci Miles and Noahlee Terlaje; sophomores Marissa Campbell, Amelia Gustafson, Sabrina Markey, Lilah Schafer and Signe Trindal; and freshman Sabrina Pease.

The boys roster includes seniors Gavin Dubose and Chase Hallman; junior Randy Janovsky; sophomores Jaricho Hudson, Aiden Niemi and Lucas Steadman; and freshman Logan Faucett.

Six of the boys and five of the girls on Iron Mountain’s squad are Kingsford students.

The Mountaineers are coached by Pete Tomassoni, assisted by Kevin Hanson, Cathy Tomassoni and Hanna Bastian.
