Nordics take two at home
FELCH TOWNSHIP – The North Dickinson Nordics handled their business at home recently, winning a pair of games to improve to 5-1 on the young season.
Against North Central on Monday, Trent Kramer scored 21 points, hauled down five rebounds and recorded four steals to lead the Nordics to a 67-26 rout of Skyline Central Conference foe North Central.
ND took control early, building a 21-2 lead after the first quarter. The Nordics led 40-15 at the halftime break before blowing out to a 60-17 stranglehold after three quarters.
Ty King finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and two steals for the Nordics. Mason Florenski added 11 points, Jason Graham had six points, two assists and two steals, Brady Jungwirth contributed three points, seven assists and three steals and Tyler Fleming, in his first action of the season after a football injury, chipped in with seven points, three steals and an assist.
Against Bessemer on Friday, Jan. 2, Kramer led ND to a 49-33 non-conference victory with 20 points, 13 rebounds, four steals and two blocks. Jungwirth contributed 10 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals, King finished with six points and seven rebounds and Graham added two points and five assists.
In his first game this season after suffering a football injury in the fall, Spencer Kramer contributed three points and five rebounds.
The Nordics were scheduled to travel to Bark River-Harris (2-2) on Tuesday seeking their fourth straight win.
