Pineda pours in 40 in Knights’ rout of BR-H
HARRIS – Anthony Pineda exploded for 40 points and led the Norway Knights to their eighth straight victory Friday when they routed host Bark River-Harris 70-31 in Skyline Central Conference action.
Pineda scored early and often, pouring in 16 points in the first quarter when the Knights (8-2) jumped out to a 25-12 lead. Pineda then added 12 more in the second quarter to help spur his team to a 42-15 advantage at the break.
The Broncos (2-4) stayed with Norway in the third quarter, which ended with the Knights holding a 55-29 edge. But Norway dominated the fourth quarter with a 15-2 run to account for the 39-point margin.
Kaleb LaPine also finished in double figures for Norway with 12 points.
The Knights will host North Dickinson (7-1) Tuesday in a battle of two of the hotter teams in the U.P.
