Bobcats power past Jets, Nordics take down Gwinn
Florence pulled away from North Central in the second half for a 68-38 boys basketball win Wednesday.
The Bobcats led 29-18 at halftime and improved to 9-10 on the season.
“I want to credit North Central,” said Florence coach Bryan Bomberg. “I think they play tough defense and play hard until the very end. I was proud of my guys tonight. I thought we settled in, marched their intensity and took care of business on both sides of the ball.”
Truth Setner led Florence with 25 points while Bowen Spears scored 12 and Bradly Steber added 10. The Bobcats also got nine points from Carter Reed, six from Promice Setner, four from Kade Larson and two from Carter Reed.
Brooks Castle led the Jets with 10 points and Ben Stage scored seven.
North Central (6-11) will host Norway (11-9) tonight.
Florence will host Goodman-Pembine on Tuesday.

Balanced scoring carried North Dickinson to a victory at Gwinn on Wednesday.
Ty King led the offense with 12 points while Trent Kramer and Mason Florenski added 10 points each. Other contributors were Brady Junwirth, nine points, six assists and four steals; Spencer Kramer, six points; and Jason Graham, five points.
The Nordics (15-3) led 37-9 at halftime.
Carney-Nadeau (6-13) travels to Felch Township tonight for a Skyline Central Conference-Small game against North Dickinson.
