Giuliani named SCC Player of the Year

HARRIS – Forest Park junior Vic Giuliani was named the 2025-26 Skyline Central Conference Player of the Year in a vote of league coaches Monday.
Giuliani, who won the award last season as well, led the Trojans to an 8-0 record and the overall league championship.
The SCC first team consisted of Trent Kramer (North Dickinson junior), Anthony Pineda (Norway senior), Dax Huuki (FP junior), Lyle Price (FP freshman), Ty King (ND senior), Brady Jungwirth (ND senior), Spencer Kramer (ND senior) and Nolan Connaughton (Munising senior).
Second-team honorees included Kaleb LaPine (Norway junior), Kaden Malone (North Central junior), Gionni McDonough (Bark River-Harris) junior, Gabe Spear (BR-H junior), Chase Monette (Stephenson senior), Ryder Kroupa (Superior Central junior), Lane Olson (Rapid River junior) and Nathan Klein (Stephenson junior).
Local players given honorable mention were Owen Baij (Norway senior), Elliott Kraemer (Norway senior), Brooks Castle (NC senior), Riley Cretens (NC junior), Ben Stage (NC senior) and Brody Mercier (NC senior).
Norway’s Pineda was named the SCC Defensive Player of the Year. Local players on the all-defensive squad include NC’s Malone and Castle, Norway junior Noah Pearson, North Dickinson junior Jason Graham and Forest Park junior Izaiah Tarter.
The individual sportsmanship award went to Rapid River junior Jae Poma, while the team sportsmanship award was given to Superior Central.
SC’s Kroupa won the league’s free throw award with an 83.3 percentage.
Forest Park’s Jason Price was named the Coach of the Year.
Forest Park won the varsity boys overall and large school division with its 8-0 mark, while North Dickinson won the varsity small school division with a 7-2 record.
Norway captured the junior varsity large school division title with an 8-1 record, while North Central and North Dickinson tied for the JV small school division crown with 8-1 records.
