Knights clamp down on C-N
CARNEY – For the third time in its last four games, the Norway boys basketball team held its opposition under 30 points Tuesday when they beat host Carney-Nadeau 65-20 in a Skyline Central Conference matchup.
The Knights (11-7) took control early against the Wolves, building a 19-7 lead after one quarter. Norway extended its advantage to 35-11 at halftime and then blew out to a 57-18 lead after three quarters.
The Knights put together a balanced scoring attack with Anthony Pineda leading the charge with 18 points. Elliott Kraemer posted 13 points, Owen Baij added 10, Noah Pearson finished with seven, Kaleb Lapine scored six and Maddex Burklund finished with five.
Norway will host Escanaba (4-11) on Friday. The Knights fell to the Eskymos 50-36 in the first matchup of the teams on Dec. 8.
