Johnson named NACC Freshman of the Year

RIPON, Wis. — St. Norbert College romped to its 11th consecutive women’s indoor track and field conference title with a win at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship at Ripon College’s Willmore Center.
Kamdan Johnson of Florence set a school record with the first-ever sub-9 seconds performance in the 60-meter hurdles at a NACC-record 8.97 seconds. Johnson was named NACC Freshman of the Year.
The Green Knights won their fifth straight NACC title after claiming six straight prior to departing the Midwest Conference. St. Norbert racked up 265.5 points to easily outdistance runner-up Concordia University Wisconsin’s 148 points. It is the most points for St. Norbert in any indoor conference meet and the third-best NACC mark ever.
