Kingsford’s Gravel posts 3-point night for Admirals

MILWAUKEE Wis. — Jordan Oesterle scored two goals and the Milwaukee Admirals rallied from a 2-1 third period deficit to take down the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-2 on Saturday night at Panther Arena.
The win was the fourth in the past five games for Milwaukee, who coupled with a loss from Iowa, saw their magic number to clinch a spot in the Calder Cup Playoffs drop to 18 as the regular season ends April 19.
Admirals Captain Kevin Gravel, a defenseman, scored his second goal of the season and dished out two assists. It marked the first three-point night of the Kingsford native’s career.
In net, Magnus Chrona stopped 22 of the 24 shots he faced to pick up his eighth win of the season for Milwaukee
The teams head back to Grand Rapids to play Tuesday in a game that was rescheduled from March 13 because of unsafe ice conditions.
Grand Rapids ranks second in the American Hockey League power rankings while Milwaukee stands 24th in the 32-team organization.
Gravel, 34, last skated in the National Hockey League in February 2025 when he appeared in six games for the Nashville Predators and registered one assist.
