CRYSTAL FALLS — The Crystal Falls Forest Park boys prefer to play uptempo basketball.
They can also play more deliberately as they did in the first half of their 73-38 triumph over the Norway Knights in a Division 4 district final here Friday night.
The victory enabled the Trojans to earn their third consecutive district title.
“It feels great to get three in a row,” Forest Park junior Vic Guiliani said. “We feel very lucky. Not every team gets to do that.”
Forest Park (19-4) goes to Kingsford for its regional opener against Felch North Dickinson (20-3) Tuesday at 5 p.m. Norway finished 14-10.

The teams split during the regular season with the Nordics taking a 57-55 decision in Crystal Falls Jan. 20 and the Trojans rolling to 77-39 triumph in the Nordics’ gym Feb. 2.
North Dickinson advanced with a 78-42 rout of Munising in a district final on their home floor Friday.
“They (Nordics) have a good team,” Trojans’ coach Jason Price said. “Nothing’s easy in the tournament.”
The Knights tried their best to control the pace and were within 12-9 when junior Landon Ross split a pair of free throws with 75 seconds left in the first quarter.
Forest Park responded with eight unanswered points, extending its lead to 20-9 on a turn-around jump shot from the lane by junior Isaiah Tarter early in the second frame.
The Knights were still within 23-13 following a layup by senior Owen Baij with 5:37 left in the second.
Forest Park answered with a 9-0 run, pushing their lead to 32-13 on a layup by freshman Lyle Price with less than three minutes remaining in the second.
Norway got within 34-20 late in the second before junior Dax Huuki drained a 10-foot jumper, giving the Trojans a 36-20 cushion going into the halftime locker room.
Lyle Price sank a jumper from the left corner to open the third stanza and Huuki added a fast break layup for a 41-20 advantage early in the third.
The Trojans continued to push the pace, extending their lead to 54-28 on a layup by Tarter, then concluded the third stanza on a 21-foot jumper from the left wing by Lyle Price for a 65-32 advantage.
As they did in an 80-38 triumph at Powers North Central Wednesday, the Trojans scored four in double digits this time. They were led by Huuki’s 23 points. Lyle Price added 18. Giuliani contributed 13 and Tarter finished with 12.

“That’s on there because that’s the number of seconds there are in a basketball game,” Huuki said. “That’s the type of effort we need all the time. This feels good. We have worked hard for this all season. Coach told us to calm down and play our game.”
Forest Park finished with 10 turnovers and Norway had nine.
“We settled in and played very unselfish again,” coach Price said. “We’re defending very well. These juniors have played together their whole lives. These are hard working kids. They put the time in during the off-season.”
Senior Anthony Pineda paced the Knights with 11 points and LaPine hit nine.
