NASHVILLE – The Nashville Predators have recalled defenseman Kevin Gravel from the Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League, General Manager Barry Trotz announced Saturday.

Gravel, 34, a native of Kingsford, has played in an AHL career-high 65 games for the Admirals this season, posting 11 points (2 goals, 9 assists) and 41 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound blueliner has skated in 138 career NHL games with the Kings, Oilers, Maple Leafs and Predators since making his league debut in 2015-16.

His last NHL action came in 2024-25, when he suited up in six games for Nashville.

On Saturday, the Predators kept pace in the Western Conference wild-card race with a 2-1 home win against the Minnesota Wild. Nashville remained one point behind the Los Angeles Kings for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup playoffs from the West with two games remaining.

Nashville (38-32-10, in the Central Division) will host the San Jose Sharks (37-34-8, in the Pacific Division) at 8 p.m. Eastern time today.

In Milwaukee, Isaac Ratcliffe claimed both goals to lead Milwaukee to a 2-1 victory over the Iowa Wild on Sunday afternoon. The result locks the Admirals into the American Hockey League’s Calder Cup playoffs for the sixth consecutive season.

Milwaukee will close the regular season this weekend with their final home game against the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday followed by a pair of games in Chicago to finish the regular season.

Starting at $3.50/week.
